Bad Religion is an American punk rock band founded by Greg Graffin, Jay Bentley, Jay Ziskrout, and Brett Gurewitz in 1980. Today, the lineup consists of Greg Graffin as the vocalist, Brett Gurewitz, Brian Baker, and Greg Hetson as guitarists, Jay Bentley as the bassist, and Brooks Wackerman as the drummer.

Bad Religion is known for their use of vocabulary, metaphors, and imagery, something uncommon for a punk rock band. Most of the lyrics are composed by either Greg Graffin or Brett Gurewitz.

In total Bad Religion has released 14 full-length albums, with a 15th scheduled for release in 2010. A cover of the song "Infected" was featured in Guitar Hero, and the song "Sorrow" was featured as downloadable content in Rock Band.
